יהי זכרה ברוך. מה היתה סיבת המוות? אובדן של בעל חיים הוא תמיד נורא (ומחקרים בנושא מראים שהתהליך שבא בעקבותיו דומה מאוד לזה שבא בעקבות מותו של בן משפחה קרוב)…
הילד גדל אתה. הוא כבר לא זוכר איך נסענו להביא אותה מקנזס למיזורי כשהוא היה בן שנתיים. בדומה לי, הוא זוכר את עצמו רק מגיל 3:-) אבל הוא כבר גדול, וגיבור, ומטר שמונים, וכבר לא בוכה.
She was not a bouvier, she was a Kerry Blue, 13 yrs old. She had cancer, and we had to put her to sleep last Sunday. Sorry for not making things sufficiently clear.
You are right though, it's about time I took a good picture of Alf. He is huge now, easily 80lb.
Congrats on the bulldog:-) We almost got one years ago, but he was way too expensive at the time.
I clearly missed the date tagline – obliviousness is one of my sometimes endearing/sometimes infuruating "qualities" – alas
My deepest condolances (I always seemed to take the loss of a dog as hard as the loss of a human family member – sometimes worse with some of my family) I am only able to take partial solace in a dog that lives to ripe old age looking good and being in relatively good condition and health until near the end
Thank you Ken. Obliviousness? Yours truly is the living breathing definition of the word:-) As for old age and health, just as with humans, the former is often the enemy of the latter…Still, always beats the hell out of the alternative, I think.

Sorry about your dog; she looks gorgeous (and kind) on this photo.. Dogs are the best people, I came to realise time and again.

Old age and health do eventually diverge – my mother in law is back in the hospital for the 5th time this year – they have now identified some masses and we are sweating out the initial oncology tests.

Mum is 75 – but has been sinking badly the last several years (my mom, all of 10 years older, is doing much better
We'll await the rest of the tests and see what they can do for her.
